Radiant heat versus convection

Most room heaters work according to the principle of convection and therefore they are called convectors. The air warmed up itself at the heater climbs at the wall to the ceiling where it becomes colder and drops again. As a result, a very uneven heat distribution in the room results, with very high temperatures below the ceiling and low temperatures in the foot ground area. We feel the heat made by such room heaters as slightly convenient conditional by the air circulating constantly through the room and the uneven temperature distribution. Additional, humidity removes in convection heated rooms, which affects our health negatively.

Electro ceramic radiators on the other hand send infrared heat radiation like the sun which warms up the air in the room only as a secondary effect.Primary they firstly warm up persons and objects (walls, floor, ceiling, furniture) in the room, what leads to that the temperature in the room can be held around 2° lower. Compared to convectors, humidity remains unchanged in the room.
